CoDaFlight at EMIM 2026

At EMIM 2026 in Ljubljana, CoDaFlight member Catarina S. Lobo presented how  Fluorescence Lifetime Imaging (FLI) enables real-time, multiplexed tumor delineation by separating spectrally overlapping tracers based on lifetime. These in vivo results show how FLI improves specificity relative to intensity-based imaging and highlight its potential for real-time, fluorescence-guided differentiation of tissue structures and their relevance to surgical guidance.

CoDaFlight at SPIE BiOS San Francisco

January traditionally means SPIE BiOS in San Francisco, and this year CoDaFlight was strongly represented. With Sophie Hernot, Catarina S. Lobo, Thomas Van den Dries, and Hans Ingelberts on site, the team contributed with two invited talks and two posters, highlighting advances in fluorescence-lifetime imaging for surgical guidance.Momentum in the field was clear with the first-ever dedicated …

Data Analysis Workshop Brussels

Meeting in person to work on the CoDaFlight project always makes a difference. In late 2025, we came together for the WP3 Data Analysis workshop, where focused discussions helped advance our understanding of the image analysis workflow and guide the further development of the software’s functionality. Beyond the technical progress, these in-person exchanges once again …

European Researchers’ Night Heraklion

The European Researchers’ Night in Heraklion was crowned with success, bringing science closer to society. At the event, CoDaFlight was presented through an interactive demo by LBMI at FORTH-IESL. In the “Underwater world” activity, only the toy fish carrying a fluorescent marker became visible under a special lamp, while the others remained hidden. This simple …
