January traditionally means SPIE BiOS in San Francisco, and this year CoDaFlight was strongly represented. With Sophie Hernot, Catarina S. Lobo, Thomas Van den Dries, and Hans Ingelberts on site, the team contributed with two invited talks and two posters, highlighting advances in fluorescence-lifetime imaging for surgical guidance.
Momentum in the field was clear with the first-ever dedicated fluorescence lifetime session, organised by Margarida Barroso, Sophie Hernot, and Anand T. Kumar. Sam Floru presented his work with nanobodies to improve decision-making for CRC patients.
The team also attended the Stanford Symposium on Optical Surgical Navigation, where Sophie Hernot presented work on nanobody-based fluorescent tracers and fluorescence lifetime imaging.
Grateful for the conversations and time together with Thinzar Lwin, Floris Voskuil and Max Witjes, because collaboration is more than just the science.
